"THE VERY BEST!"

No "cons!" I've looked at most of them out there and this is by far and away the best. It works on my ipods and iphones and itouches without a glitch.

Summary
The problem may be mostly mine, but the product didn't let me do what I expected. Downloaded and installed with little problem, and I was able to was able to create the new playlists and add the new files I wanted. The problem came when I realized that the only way to use the alpha indexing feature of the IPOD was in "songs" mode, and that showed every file in the player including the new playlists. Since I need to be able to access the files in each list separately, that's useless to me, and i had to back all the files I had added out of the player and delete the playlists. So the program is of no value to me, but I assume the problem is function of how the IPOD works.

Summary
My iTunes is on my brothers computer on a whole other city and I needed a way to put some of my music onto my old video that I leave in my Jeep, I found this, and it works even better and easier than I was expecting.

At first, it locked down my iPhone to the point of iTunes doesn't recognize it. But after an email to the team, I found out that applying a minor change (copying one more song) through the software the iTunes reconize it again.
Summary
Nothing to complain about, since it's a super software that I'll be using from now on. iTunes only to sync contacts and add app's to iPhone (I hope that in the future even apps can be added through the software).

I used this and now iTunes will not recognize my device. It also deleted my wife settings! DANGEROUS SOFTWARE. It also did not recognize songs I had purchase through the iPad itself. They were not in the "purchased" section. TERRIBLE SOFTWARE!

Very simple and stable program allows fast control over music and art that iTunes refuses to recognize. Spares you the pain of having to stumble over dozens of lengthy "iTunes solutions".
Cons
Occasionally, after using CopyTrans, iTunes returns a "...cannot recognize this iPod..." message and instructs you to reformat. Jeff at Support solved this overnight.
Summary
I love iPod, hate iTunes, especially when it can't find music files! After anxious days of searching the web for iTunes solutions I discovered CopyTrans Manager...what a relief! If it could only sync apps I wouldn't go back to iTunes. Had a scary problem for a while with the "iTunes cannot recognize this iPod" message, but Jeff solved it overnight. More power to WindSolutions!

"Wonderful Program but has its problems."

Pros
It has a small footprint which is simply great and doesn't consume memory. It does what it says it can do and so much simpler than iTunes can. CopyTransManager allows users to do more than iTunes ever will, it allows user control.
Cons
0.928 runs anywhere without installation. Only the best of written programs can do that. These top notch programs nevertheless make a Cache. In the install instruction it would be worthy to point to where this Cache resides, in case of uninstall.
Summary
This program reminds me of memtest86, and other fabulously written programs, which can run from anywhere without install. Therefore I can see a bright future that this program will get better and better, since it isn't bound tightly by the OS. The more user feedback this programs receives the better it can become.
[I think the CopyTranManager website may have a corrupt .zip file. Usually files within a zip don't become corrupt. In my case the .ris file didn't work -- I had to come to CNet.com to obtain a good archive.] In case of uninstall, please add where other resident files are located. The Registry only holds 3 lines so any registry cleaner can will clean those. And QuuSoft Uninstaller couldn't even find anything at all. For uninstall use your Explorer and search for WindSolutions.]
