"The Best iPod Recovery Program!"

Pros
Got all my music back after accidentally synching my iPod to another computer. This program recovered all the songs that had been lost in the synch and the songs still were labeled/tagged correctly with the artist/song name in iTunes. A lot of other recovery software will lose this info and you will have to manually go back and retype the artist/song info for each track. This software is really great!
Cons
It's NOT free, but I think it's well worth the $$$

My very cute but naughty niece was playing with my PC while my iPod was connected and guess what: she deleted many of my iPod songs (iTunes library included).
I had nowhere to find the songs since she deleted them from both my iTunes library and my iPod!!!!
I had to use something urgently. I found CopyTrans doctor. It recovered more than 180 tracks (I think it was around that many that were gone anyways) back from my iPod! Amazing tool.
I recommend it to anyone with young nieces and nephews! =)))))) -

"Integrity Test Failed"

Worked first time and undeleted all files from my Ipod to My Computer.
Cons
Second time I tried to use it to check integrity of my Ipod, it scanned for 15 minutes and then gave me the "test Failed" message on step 2. Then it said it could not perform steps 3 & 4

Summary
Use of this product is restricted to a maximum of 10 ipods. Then it tells you to contact the company to enquire about the "professional" version which they want to charge significantly more to give you a license. I have no problem with paying someone for their product per se, but there is absolutely nothing on their website or in the EULA at the point of paying for the "basic" version, which mentions this restriction or the pro version. Had this been apparent I wouldn't have paid for the basic license as I fix ipods as a hobby. I have complained to them, so far I've not had a response.

I inadvertently deleted my playlists from my hard drive and was able to fully recover them.
Cons
The first error scan took over 24 hours. The second time was faster when I disabled a number of programs I had running simultaneously.

Summary
This program was a real life saver for me. It helps me fixing corruption on my 3-year old iPod video. When my favorite Apple device stopped working one day, I thought my only choice was to buy a new one. It was before I tumbled upon CopyTrans Doctor. Not only did this software repair my iPod but it also undeleted hundreds of files I had wiped due to an accidental sync. Thank you very much CopyTrans team!
