This simple program gives you a bit more control over cookies than Internet Explorer but fails to offer any real management features. The interface is no beauty, but is simple to understand, offering tabs for functions such as a cookie list and a search tool. Cookie Monitor displays a sortable list of information about cookies on your PC, including name, size, expiration date, and server. You can choose to delete selected cookies, but you won t find a list for adding or blocking specific entries. While you can have the program play a sound when a cookie is added or removed, you can t disable its notification pop-up, which can become very intrusive and annoying when surfing cookie-intensive sites. In spite of its limitations, this program is very small and totally free, so some casual Web surfers may find it worth downloading.Publisher's description
From Naturpic Software :Cookie Monitor is an easy-to-use utility that watches all cookie files on your computer. It will immediately inform you when a cookie file is created, deleted, or modified. It allows you to view the contents of the cookie, search in cookies, and delete unwanted cookies. It also allows you to clean all cookies, the Windows recent documents history, and the Recycle Bin with just one click.

Version: Cookie Monitor 1
"Great for webmasters debugging setting and deleting cookies"
Pros: Its easy to use, pops up and lets you know when a cookie is set or deleted and gives you the option to click for more details on that cookie. Has a search feature to search by a number of fields, url, cookie name, server/domain, etc. The audio beep with the pop up is convenient for debugging. Web Developers: this program helped me find that by not setting the domain argument cookies set with http_colonslashslash_domain_dot_com weren't seen (and deletion not possible) when url was http_colonslashslash_www_dot_domain_dot_com and vice versa. Setting domain to "_dot_domain_dot_com" (preceding dot) solved the problem. Set it in creation and deletion stmts.
Cons: cookie expiration shows date but not the time.

Version: Cookie Monitor 1
"Undefined error on up to date XP, Fully uninstalls."
Pros: Since I was unable to run the program, all I can say is it installed in a clean manner and the uninstall was complete as well. Many "bad" programs will install extra files in alternate directories and will not remove all installed files when uninstalling. This program was very complete in both respects. If it does work on your computer, then it is probably a decent program to use (I.E. no spyware or "extra stuff" you did not ask for).
Cons: Since this did not work on my computer, then I do not think the program is fully compatible with "all" windows systems. I am running a HP laptop with a 2Ghz processor, 512 Mb system RAM, 32 Mb Display RAM, 40 Gb hard drive, running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 2. Upon typing this my first guess would be that the program is not compatible with the Professional version of XP. If you have the time, then this is something to try. Good luck.

Version: Cookie Monitor 1
"Decent cookie viewer, bad cookie monitor"
Summary: The utility's name is deceptive: it's actually a cookie viewer with very limited monitoring features. It just plays a sound and shows a dialog every time a cookie is added or deleted. It means dozens of distractive dialogs during any Web session, an... read more >>
