The NetPass provides free access to premium and subscription content unavailable from anywhere else. Access content from sources like Encyclopedia Britannica, The New Republic, TheStreet.com, Morningstar, FT.com, Harvard Health Newsletter, and hundreds of additional sources of the Web's most valuable information. The NetPass creates a free bridge that spans the divide between expensive information services available to large corporations and the mass of information available on the free Web. The NetPass uses unique, patented technology to map and access previously un-indexed premium and subscription content.

This Internet Explorer add-on provides access to some free information, but you're left to guess as to whether you're venturing into paid territory.
Installation of Congoo NetPass toolbar is easy, but you're required to give a valid e-mail address. Congoo's pop-up blocker is pedestrian, but it works. With a single click, you can add visited sites to the blacklist or to an allowed white list. It's almost as easy to just type URLs in its white list dialog box, though. Our testers found little use for the very basic form filler. Still, they had more use for that feature than the program's primary function: accessing "free" information from a variety of sites.
The fine print reveals that Congoo has partnered with some publishers to let users see some free articles each month. The number of articles varies by publisher, and we found no easy method through the toolbar to predetermine what content was free. The search box is tied into Congoo's branded search. We found it ad-intensive and wished we could substitute our preferred search engine. With the wealth of no-cost information available on the Net, most users will find little use for Congoo Netpass.

"It got me past the pay wall without paying."
Pros: I thought this was pretty cool. I trade stocks and there is a lot of great infromation indexed here. Also, I like that you can view subscription content for free with the netpass, why didnt I think of this?

"There are more ways to skin a cat then I knew"
Pros: This toolbar gets you through subscription walls and into paid content....without paying. hmmmm
Cons: I thought the search results were simply ok, they need to add more sources of paid information.

Pros: I got all kinds of subscription content for free. I found Britannica, Morningstar, Harvard and others. I dont understand how it gets you in for free but it worked and as long as its legal, thats great.
Cons: I dont like toolbars but it seemed to have more features then others I have seen

Pros: I liked it. I had the google toolbar but this one has web results from Yahoo plus premium results and it somehow gets you access to subscription content for free. If I dont have to pay - thats a good start

"Well I guess Ive seen it all now"
Pros: Why would anyone pay for various forms of info if you can get it for free?
Cons: This only gives you limited amounts for free. Some infrmation sources which I would have wanted a few more clicks of is archived press releases. You can find a lot of data in those archives. When I research a business I like to reference thier past public annoucnments. This let me into 15 free. Thats actually a sang of nearly $150 a month for me right there! I just wish there was more
