Publisher's description
From InstallAware Software :Archives behave like folders in Explorer. Browse, copy files from, and add files to archives just like any regular folder. The plug-in based product can directly compress RAR, ACE, SIT, ZIP, and extract many more using a single application. The product also contains 4 stand-alone archive applications - command line, wizards, WinZip style, and a professional archive studio. E-mail attachments you send with Outlook are automatically compressed.

Version: CompreXX 4.1.2
Pros: 1 s/w for 3 fav archieve, wow, what a great one. Very nice. But...
Dunno, I don't try this one b'coz [read the cons]
Cons: Actually, the mark 4 is the first comprexx for me. It said it can manage rar, zip, and 7zip.
1. Download the 5megs setup file.
2. The installation interface is cool, like Microsoft intallation interface.
3. It's preparing the instalation.
4. It's preparing the instalation...
5. It is PRREPARING the instalation.
6. It is STILL PREPARING the instalation.
7. I give up. Clik cancel.
What a joke, 30 minutes preparation for installing archiever? AND it's only prepare for 25%. It uses huge amount of HD to. So, i'm back to basic. use winrar and 7zip for managing my archieve.
* i'm using Centrino 1,5.

"This product will leave your computer a mess."
Pros: Not a single thing.
Cons: This product hijacked my file associations (even though I opted for it to leave associations alone). It even created a tab in the options Menu in Outlook, which remained after the uninstall. I got this product because it said it would extract .sit files, and it didn't even do that. When I contacted the support email address listed in the installer, I recieved this for a reply:
Hello,
Thank you for contacting MimarSinan.
After careful thinking, we have decided we cannot provide free support
for non paying customers.
Sincerely,
Sinan
Quite frankly, I don't think I've ever hated another piece of software this much, and I would strongly recommend staying away from any products by this vendor. INSTALL AT YOUR OWN RISK.

"Bad software, worse tech support"
Pros: There is nothing to reccomend. Any possible Pro is cancelled many times over by all the Cons.
Cons: As other reviewers have noted, the installation in interminable. The software claims to handle SIT archives, but it won't... unless you download an additional plugin. During the install, the plugin MUST connect to the Internet where it will spend 15-20 minutes phoning home. Doing WHAT? I cancelled the install.
I emailed "tech support" to ask for some clarification about the installation procedure. The response I received was abusive and insulting--seriously. Avoid this thing like the plague, and advise your friends and neighbors to do the same.

"Bloated Software with confusing UI and claim to support many compression type."
Pros: It support a lot of compression types, meaning lots of compatibility, not having to use any compression expansion software. Seam like it have many cool features.
Cons: What a joke! It download 5MB and then when you try to install it, it preprare to install more junk from it slow server. 5 - 10 minutes later and it still preparing and trying to download and going...It look like I'm installing a new Window Professional on my PC. I don't think I want a Compression and Expansion software to be this big in size. Who know what the heck it could install all that time.
I cancel out because I don't feel it worth my time. Software to compress and expand should be this big and much of a hassle? Give me break!

"Works very well, install is fine. Read the instructions!"
Pros: Other reviews gave this product a low score without even installing it, due to the lengthier-than-normal install time. If you read the instructions, you'll find out that the product downloads plugins from various compression vendors in order to support a very large variety of archive types! That takes a minute. It's worth the wait, since then you have a program that opens all common PC archives & .ISO images, PLUS StuffIt .SIT files. This is the ONLY software I've found to do that. Integration with explorer is good, does everything you'd expect.
Cons: Their Explorer-like task pane is cheesy-looking, and appears unnecessarily in the Studio view. Probably some other little stuff to complain about.
