Comodo Firewall Pro provides a smorgasbord of information and options for advanced users, simple enough for beginners, and yet runs smoothly and silently in the background.
It's labeled Pro but this Comodo offers up a dragon's treasure of features for free. Running mostly hidden, Comodo rears its head most often during Security Alerts that ask about new Internet connections. Alerts contain basic outgoing connection information. The user must determine if it's safe. The connections monitor displays the Application, the Source IP and Port, the Destination IP and Port, and the number of bytes received and sent.
Overall, the features offered are not only comprehensive, but they're useful. So not only is there a Network Monitor, but it displays its rules clear enough for even the greenest security wonk to Google up the relevant terms. Whether you're in the Activity tab, the Security tab or viewing the Summary, which displays Security Monitoring, your current Security Level and useful system information such as your IP address and your MAC address, the program has been geared at all levels to help you understand where your 1's and 0's are going, and which programs are sending them.
Currently incompatible with Vista, Comodo also requires a reboot before using. Other than that, keep in mind that Comodo is freeware and it's hard to reason against using it.

Cons: The 3.x version will be compatible with Vista and with 64 bit systems.

Pros: Checked if it works with grc.com Shield's Up and it works perfectly well.
Its easy to install and easy to understand if you do a little research inside the programs options.
Cons: Can be confusing with its permission alerts.

Pros: -It is Free
-Provides an additional layer of defense against undesired port communications and UPnP; rules similar to a hardware firewall. Especially useful when using a router that does not support disabling UPnP or when a user does not know how to disable it in Windows
-Notifies a user whenever an unknown application is trying to access to the internet or when an unknown application is trying to gain access to another application to do so, and offers to remember the choices of the user
-Flexible options which enable a user to taylor-make CFP to suit their personal needs, be it home-networking, campus-networking or internet-only
Cons: -Crashes occassionally after allowing a connection via pop-up

Pros: I can see in the report on leaks that comodo was on top compare on the others,,,very nice layouts and very effective firewall...low memory usage not like the others and its a free full version...
Cons: the only reason i uninstalled it coz its causin "aoltsmon.exe" to always stay on 50% all time on my cpu usage,dunno why or how to fix it so sadly i had to say bye for now til i get a solution....anyone got any knowledge on this??? coz i really like the software,,,=(
