Comodo Firewall Pro provides a smorgasbord of information and options for advanced users, simple enough for beginners, and yet runs smoothly and silently in the background.
It's labeled Pro but this Comodo offers up a dragon's treasure of features for free. Running mostly hidden, Comodo rears its head most often during Security Alerts that ask about new Internet connections. Alerts contain basic outgoing connection information. The user must determine if it's safe. The connections monitor displays the Application, the Source IP and Port, the Destination IP and Port, and the number of bytes received and sent.
Overall, the features offered are not only comprehensive, but they're useful. So not only is there a Network Monitor, but it displays its rules clear enough for even the greenest security wonk to Google up the relevant terms. Whether you're in the Activity tab, the Security tab or viewing the Summary, which displays Security Monitoring, your current Security Level and useful system information such as your IP address and your MAC address, the program has been geared at all levels to help you understand where your 1's and 0's are going, and which programs are sending them.
Currently incompatible with Vista, Comodo also requires a reboot before using. Other than that, keep in mind that Comodo is freeware and it's hard to reason against using it.

Pros
Works beautifully.
All issues that I have come across have been fixed with the appropriate adjustments within the program. If you have any issues, just go to the Comodo forums, and look for the answer.
Cons
If using a peer to peer program (eg: utorrent), turn off network logging to prevent Comodo Firewall from using 100% cpu usage.

"Happy after switching from ZA"

Pros
I was a long term user of ZA, until it's most recent bloated version. I looked at other people's recommendations(my thanks to those here) for an alternative and have been using Comodo for about 4 months on my PC, will also switch over on my laptop soon as well.
Comodo is far less resource heavy than ZA was for me, though it does sometimes grab an excessive amount of memory in my opinion. Having said that, I find it's settings and usability superior to ZA, mostly it's very intuitive. After a few months use I am very happy with my choice of firewall, ZA will have to try really hard to get me back as a user! Comodo have other excellent free security applications, BOClean for one, check out their website for their range, NO, I'm not paid to say this!!
I was close to giving the 5 *'s, if this continues to do such a good job I'll do so.
Cons
At first the almost constant pop-ups were a real pain, but Comodo detects very slight changes in applications, often after updates, so this is a sign that it's on the ball and detects minor modifications to your progs. The longer you use Comodo the less this pop-up forest becomes, unless you're a very heavy downloader of new applications.

Comodo is a great company, wich produces free security software. I liked earlier softwares of them.
And this product the Firewall, is another great product. Comodo Firewall, is a fast and clean firewall, wich is excellent to home users. Like every firewall does, it blocks hackers, but this one doesn?t warn you, it blocks it, and it stays on the background. Like the most firewalls it tells you when a program tries to acces the internet, this is the only warning you need to take a action.
Comodo� Firewall? Works very good with AVG Free Edition. No conflicts, and its a nice pleasure working with these security.
Cons
Comodo Firewall is an excellent product, and it doesnt come in conflict with other anti-virusses. If you are planning to take another product with the Firewall from Comodo. Rather not take their Anti Virus with this firewall. I got serious problems with this, and it slowed down my computer, making it somewhat retared.
