Pros

Is fast like Firefox but has too many add ons giving this browser an untidy look.

Cons

The add ons that come with Comet bird are NOT Firefox add ons. And many of them are unnecessary.

Summary

Comet Bird is based on Firefox 3 and there are many other browsers that are also based on Firefox. The Firefox clones I use are-Wyzo,Safefox and Pale Moon. But the difference between Comet Bird and the others I am using is. That they are all using Firefox add ons but Comet Bird has got it's own add ons. But unfortunently they have dressed this browser up with TOO MANY USELESS add ons-which is just JUNK, that is not needed. One annoying one is a software updater that points to download links for stuff like Damon tools,Windows Live Messenger and stuff I do not want to install on my computer. I do not need an add on like this in my web browser. Comet Bird is said to be like Wyzo but it is NOT. Because Wyzo comes with the Firefox add ons Fire download and Fire Torrent,with Skip Screen to block unwanted adds in your download. And these can be uninstalled in Wyzo if you do not want them. But as they are Firefox add ons you can ad these to Firefox ,Pale Moon and Safefox also. But Comet Bird is using it's own add ons not these. True, in Comet Bird,you can uninstall them. But still the browser is smothered in too many unneeded add ons. This is why it only gets a 2 star rating,Comet Bird would have been better if it was made like Safefox,Mozilla Flock and Pale Moon is-WITHOUT the clutter (add ons) as most people want a simple looking browser. Which is what most Firefox browsers are-except Comet Bird. The performance is okay but other Firefox clones perform better. So if you are thinking of replacing your Firefox with this my advice is DON'T.You are better off getting Firefox or one of the other 3 Firefox alternatives-Safefox,Pale Moon or Wyzo and adding the add ons,Fire Download and Fire Torrent rather than installing this browser-Comet Bird. There is a saying too many cooks spoil the broth. Well the problem with Comet Bird is that they have crammed on too many unwanted add ons. When they should have just made the browser with the add ons separate and optional-like they do with Firefox. So here with Comet Bird it is a case of too many add ons spoil the browser. This would have been a good browser WITHOUT the add ons. Which are not Firefox add ons anyway. Andrea Borman.
