"Great Program"
Version: CoffeeCup HTML Editor 2006
Pros
easy to use and it's fast
-
"Disapointing"
Version: CoffeeCup HTML Editor 2006
Pros
Sort of ok interface. Good online tech support "chat". Told me up front the problem (and that there was no fix planned for future upgrades) and apoligized.
Cons
One must do the image linking twice, otherwise your images won't show up on your page once posted to your ISP. This is so 90's to still have that annoyance AKA early FrontPage. These guys have been around long enough to know better. It was a show stopper for me. To go back into the HTML and fix the addressing on twenty or more images is not on.

"Anger. Pure De-Caffienated Anger."
Version: CoffeeCup HTML Editor 2006
Pros
I like Coffee. It's named after Coffee. The other pro is that dealing with this horror has been a learning experience for me that I can grow from.
Cons
The free version is all right, but I wanted the whole deal. I bought the full version online, got a little receipt saying that it was now immediately ready for download, but with no hint of how to go about doing that. After a few minutes, I found a place to log in, but it sayed my login or password was incorrect..until the third try, when it logged me in, I guess, as there was a link to a free bundled program called "Lockbox" that you get for buying anything at all from them, but no Coffee HTML Editor to download. I tried to log in later and give it another go, but this time it didn't log me in at all. So, I checked to see if maybe I had accidentally used a different email address than I thought I had to sign up with originally, and sure enough; I mistakenly used the username from my ISP addy in front of @hotmail.com, I actually had to CREATE a new hotmail address, then asked them to send me my "forgotten" password, which I used to log in to get my program, and after another three tries, it logged me on. WITH AND ENTIRELY DIFFERENT EMAIL than the one I used to log in the first time. And other than the "Lockbox", still no product to download. And plus, for reasons only Gid knows, they somehow had lost my billing address, which I had to re-enter. UGGGHHH. So I filled that all in again, and still nowhere to d/l the program. So I decide to get the 30 day free trial. Install it, start it up, and right off I get a screen saying my trial had expired. I close the screen, and get another screen saying that I have 30 days left on my free trial. I click start, and it says my trial has expired. This is silly, not not acceptable, not cute, and not funny. The free version is all right, but I don't know if I'll ever get a chance to try the whole version, even though I own it, technically.

"Are these reviews for real? Don't think so...."
Version: CoffeeCup HTML Editor 2006
Cons
I shouldn't be using this space to review the reviews, but if you'll notice, dozens of reviews were posted here within a few days of each other, using glowing prose with no negative comments. Having seen classified ads for "typists" who get paid to write reviews and post them on internet web sites, I wouldn't be surprised if many of these reviews came from such source(s). It's a shame, because I would like legitimate information on this program, and the blurbs just waste my time. If the makers of "CoffeeCup" decided to market their product by paying others to write positive reviews, it can't help but make one skeptical of the product, as well as turn the page away from CNET.

"Excellent product"
Version: CoffeeCup HTML Editor 2006
Pros
I knew nothing about creating websites but when our webmaster quit I had to learn quickly. Thankfully Coffeecup HTML Editor was around. It made it quite easy for me to maintain our existing web pages and create new ones. It would not have been possible without Coffeecup HTML Editor.
Cons

"the best HTML editor"
Version: CoffeeCup HTML Editor 2006
Pros
I've been using HTML++ '99 or so. I thought the first one was was pretty nifty and would be tough to improve, yet to they do. Often. It looks complex, but it's mostly intuitive, even for beginners. I particularly like the snippets (complete with instructions on how to complete, install, and in some cases modify them), The Notepad-esque HTML view, which separated text from coding with different colors, making it easy to see at a glance, is great for those who still prefer to code manually.

"Learning HTML? Having trouble understanding it?"
Version: CoffeeCup HTML Editor 2006
Pros
Try this application! Not only do you see the code (for you visual learners), but it's easy to set up and use. It's a very good tool for those just starting out and also just as good for those experts, as it saves time from entering basic code. Some of it can be gotten just by the touch of a button!
