"Very Overrated"
Version: CodeLobster PHP Edition 3.9.4
Pros
Yes, you can preview your PHP code with Apache running by clicking on the debug button, but so what? You can just go to your htdocs folder in the address bar, press enter, and all of your files will show up anyway
Cons
NO CODE LIBRARY!? When I wanted to echo a variable I searched around the menu for an echo icon or command, but there was none. No built in functions, no if-else commands, no do-while commands, , no foreach, nothing, zilch.
Summary
I can't figure out why people are so crazy about this editor, at least as far as PHP goes. I'm not yet up on drupal and those other languages, perhaps when I begin learning them I will see the benefits of Codelobster.

"The best editor that I know of"

i use codelobster for css, html, php, javascript and its the best software out of dozens that ive tried, nice syntax highlighting, intellisense auto completion, good integration with browsers etc. its a shame such a good program is relatively uknown.
Cons
none so far! it just couldnt be better.

"Very good free editor"

Pros
It loads fast, intellisense is very good, it auto closes tags for you, can customize code color schemes, can connect to databases in it, has a class view which shows you variables, functions, etc., that are being used, and many other cool features
Cons
You have to pay for the plugins, like a the jquery, codeigniter, cakephp, facebook, and wordpress plugins. But I will also say that you do not really need these plugins. It would be great if they were free but some are not all that useful anyway.
Summary
I think this is a very good free editor. It is not as robust as some other editors like dreamweaver, which you have to pay for, or Netbeans, which is free. None the less, I still find myself using this editor a lot because it is fast and si,ple. It doesn't do a lot of the things some of the other well known editors do but what it does do, it does well. Plus its is free so you can't really complain because if you don't like it then you just delete it and you can move on with your life because you didn't spend any money on it. But I would strongly recommend you at least give this editor a try and check it out for yourself.

i love the program but it keeps crashing once in a while. rare but still does. may be once in a month.

Lots of useful feature. Basics are easy to use.
Cons
Problem with french special character (é, è, à ç...), lacks on-line documentation and lack some feature like wrappers or macros, documentation for you function and class, custom (#region) collapsing.
Summary
Does 90% of all you need in a great way.
