The software may not build C or C++ program properly. This is a most common problem for all
For solving this open
Codeblocks>Settings>Compiler>Go to Tool chain executables tab>
Under compiler's installation directory,
Enter the address of the compiler in your PC and hit OK. ( Usually Cdrive>codeblocks>MinGW>Bin)

"Pretty good IDE"
Version: Code::Blocks 1rc2
Pros
Nice user interface
Very user friendly
Good (and fast) code completion
Light yet powerful; starts up very quicklyCons
Does not display the parameter types each method takes.
Summary
Overall a pretty good IDE. However, I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because it does not display the types of parameter each method takes when invoking it. That's the main reason why I prefer Visual Studio over Code::Blocks. Although some may not think it's that big of a deal, it can make a difference when you're working on a large project with multiple classes or when you simply forget the order of the parameters in a function or method.

"a must-have for any beginner (or expert) at C++"
Version: Code::Blocks 1rc2
Pros
The interface was easy to use and made coding fun. I had no experiance with C++ and just wanted to see what coding was like. Code::Blocks changed the color of commands and was REALLY good at finding my mistakes.
Cons
It would be nice if a tutorial to C++ was included, but there was nothing wrong with this great free program.

"A great cross-platform IDE! (use the nightly build!)"
Version: Code::Blocks 1rc2
Pros
Assuming your using a nightly build (im quite fond of the september 5th release of 2007) you will have lots of features available to you and will little effort, regardless of your platform. It's code completion and indentation is great from the get go, w/ no real configuring necessary, regardless of the language your writing. Definitely give it a go if you want a good free C++ IDE that works in linux (if you use KDE use Kdevelop, otherwise, use Code::Blocks)
Cons
No stable release in 2 years. The latesty nightly build also happens to be more stable than their 1.0 RC 2 build which they consider their stable build. If the programmers could agree on certain release specifications and such, this could become a great IDE even for those of you who insist on using COMPLETELY stable software (even Visual Studio 2003,2005, and 2008 Beta 1 are far from stable in my opinion).
