Version: Code::Blocks 1rc2
"A great cross-platform IDE! (use the nightly build!)"
Pros: Assuming your using a nightly build (im quite fond of the september 5th release of 2007) you will have lots of features available to you and will little effort, regardless of your platform. It's code completion and indentation is great from the get go, w/ no real configuring necessary, regardless of the language your writing. Definitely give it a go if you want a good free C++ IDE that works in linux (if you use KDE use Kdevelop, otherwise, use Code::Blocks)
Cons: No stable release in 2 years. The latesty nightly build also happens to be more stable than their 1.0 RC 2 build which they consider their stable build. If the programmers could agree on certain release specifications and such, this could become a great IDE even for those of you who insist on using COMPLETELY stable software (even Visual Studio 2003,2005, and 2008 Beta 1 are far from stable in my opinion).

Version: Code::Blocks 1rc2
"a must-have for any beginner (or expert) at C++"
Pros: The interface was easy to use and made coding fun. I had no experiance with C++ and just wanted to see what coding was like. Code::Blocks changed the color of commands and was REALLY good at finding my mistakes.
Cons: It would be nice if a tutorial to C++ was included, but there was nothing wrong with this great free program.
