If you're looking for a low-cost alternative to expensive Web design suites, look no further than Coda from Panic Software. This one-window Web design app has all the tools you need for creating great Web sites. Collaboration tools let you seamlessly work together with others, and an integrated FTP sidebar-- using the power of Panic's Transmit--helps you get your site updated quickly. Hand coding experts will like the full-featured CSS and text editors, with tools that are always only a click away. Time savers like the Clips feature make frequently used code handy and convenient. We particularly like the powerful Find and Replace tools which let you drag-and-drop global changes to your code. If you're searching for a reasonably priced Web design tool for Mac, Coda has plenty of handy tools to help you get your site up and running quickly.Publisher's description
From Panic :So, we code web sites by hand. And one day, it hit us: our web workflow was wonky. Wed have our text editor open, with Transmit open to save files to the server. Wed be previewing in Safari, running queries in Terminal, using a CSS editor, and reading references on the web. This could be easier, we realized. And much cooler. Your Coda experience starts with Sites. Think of them as uber-favorites on cute little pieces of paper. When youre ready to start work, just double click a site Coda will instantly restore itself exactly as you left it, connecting to your server, restoring any splits and tabs, and allowing you to code, pronto. Work on websites locally, then publish them remotely to your server? Codas sites will automatically track your local changes, and do it all for you. Just hit the big, shiny Publish All button. Ka-plam! Up they go.
