Clicktionary acts essentially as a skin for a number of Clicklearn language dictionaries; in this case, it's Vietnamese. (Other Clicklearn dictionaries include Chinese, German, and Korean.) This freeware program can translate English words into Vietnamese, either when you right-click words in any document or enter them into a field in the program window. The program won't translate sentences or paragraphs, however. To use the full range of program features, you have to enter your e-mail address to create a Clicklearn account and receive a password; that said, we were able to translate words without this step. A Personal Vocabulary option lets you save words for "practice" later on, which means little more than creating a list to read (but not print). Clicktionary also takes up a mountain of memory when idle, about 20MB. Overall, this is a basic program that has some utility for language learners looking to pinch pennies.
