Publisher's Description
From ClickRepair:
ClickRepair finds and repairs clicks and crackle in audio files obtained by capturing vinyl and shellac (78) records to digital CD format. It is not a filter; it searches the file sample-by-sample, and only changes those identified as being suspect. It is possible to operate automatically, or to intervene manually as required. Favorite detection and repair settings may be named and saved.
What's new in this version: Fixed bug in batch processing.

"UI is deal killer"
Version: ClickRepair 3.0.1
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I tried out this software, fully utilizing the trial period. I followed the documentation, reading it several times. After struggling with the application for the entire time I used it, I gave up.
There doesn't seem to be any way to preview your settings. If you use the default settings, you might get good results. I did on one album. I didn't on others. I tried to make settings that corresponded with the documentation suggestions. Then I tried to preview my file to see if I hit the mark. The bar across the top of the waveform screen is worse than useless for naviation. It implies you can navigate to a particular spot in the file, but you can't. It's kinda random where you might land. This "feature" alone wasted many many hours of my time.
I ended up purchasing iZotope RX. It's light years ahead of ClickRepair, and a truly professional grade piece of software. It's also far more expensive. Amazon has a much better price than the developer's web site, but it's still a LOT more money than ClickRepair. RX was worth it to me as nothing is more valuable to me than my time.
All that said, I will recommend this software, but with reservations. It's probably worth the money, but I would not call it a bargain. I believe it all depends on what sort of quality you expect and how much time you have to figure it out. -
"Almost Too Good To Be True"
Version: ClickRepair 3.0.1
Summary

It is rare to encounter a product that not only lives up to its billing but easily surpasses it. ClickRepair is just such a product. I hunted the internet to find LPs I listened to as a child growing up in Bermuda. I located and purchased them. Most were in pretty good condition, however, even the best LPs from the 50s have their share of ticks and pops. Another quick internet search revealed ClickRepair. I downloaded it and used it within minutes. The results were AMAZING. I am still stunned at the phenomenal job ClickRepair did. I am even more surprised it did so without killing off the audio quality of the recordings. I am deeply indebted to the developer. This is an application that is easily worth its price. I would strongly recommend it!
