Publisher's description
From Zards Software :Cleanse is a program uninstaller that finds and remove even the most stubborn of programs. Uninstall faster, easier and more completely than you do with other programs. Using the Auto Find function all you have to do is drag and drop the programs icon you want to uninstall onto Cleanse Uninstallers icon and Cleanse will Auto Find the program in the uninstall list and start the uninstall process. First, Cleanse Uninstaller will try to use the original uninstaller that came with the software; then, Cleanse Uninstaller will do its own search of the system registry and local drives to find any left over files or registry entries (often these are left behind causing clogs which slow your computer) and help remove all of the remaining traces to optimize your computers performance.
Cleanse Uninstaller also includes a startup optimizer to make your computer boot a lot faster and gives you the ability to remove Trojans or adware that might startup with your computer. Version 4 backup any information that will be removed.

Version: Cleanse Uninstaller Pro 2008 4
Pros: I am running XP sp2
Downloaded ok no problems at all..Nice interface.Very easy to use.
Cons: It was supposed to remove all registy entries after uninstall. Not only did it leave the original directory behind, it left all the registry entries too.Not good at all.Had to remove them manually.
Its a bad uninstaller.

Version: Cleanse Uninstaller Pro 2008 4
"Very Bad Experience (In Vista)"
Pros: I had a program installed (in my Vista Home Premium machine) whose uninstaller had become corrupt. Naturally I first tried to reinstall the unwanted program in hopes that the bad uninstaller would be refreshed. Unfortunately this particular proggy wouldn't allow an install-over so the only choice was to manually remove it. After reading a number of positive reviews for Cleanse Uninstaller I decided to give it a try. Using the "forced" uninstall feature, Cleanse found a long list of items to be removed however MANY of them were not in any way related to the software I wanted to remove. Some were Vista operating system files and others were completely separate programs such as 7-Zip and Acrobat Reader. Not a problem (I thought) since Cleanse lets the user select which items will be removed via a check-box list. But here's where the trouble began... I positioned my cursor over the scroll bar to make my selections and immediately noticed that the Cleanse interface was frozen and non-responsive. Not sure exactly what was happening at the time I attempted to shut the proggy down through Task Manager. Unfortunately, Cleanse refused to shut down. A few minutes later I understood what had happened. Cleanse had begun the unstallation process (apparently on it's own). When all was said and done, my Vista PC was rendered unbootable! Thankfully Vista's system restore was able to restore bootability however many of my proggys (or segments of them) were lost and had to be reinstalled from scratch. Adding insult to injury, I later discover Cleanse had removed many items, but NONE of them from the proggy I originally set out to uninstall. Almost funny if not so sad!
Cons: After reading quite a few positive reviews I'll go out on a limb and assume that Cleanse works well for a number of users. Maybe it's more reliable in XP or maybe I got a bad build... who knows? In any case, my suggestion would be "Proceed With Caution". I ended up downloading a freeware proggy called "REVO Uninstaller" and it worked great! Go figure ;-)

Version: Cleanse Uninstaller Pro 2008 4
Pros: This program is fantastic it is not perfect but no uninstaller is. I could not get rid of yahoo toolbar as hard as I tried so I thought I would try this and it WORKED! I used the force uninstall Yahoo toolbar and it got rid of it. I have used it on several other programs and it cleaned up alot of registry entries and file that were going to be left behind. This IS the best uninstaller by far.
Cons: none for me
