Clean-Slate Toolbar promises to scan and rid your computer of all browsing traces, but the results of this free program were sketchy.
The toolbar-style interface appears in your IE window. You can choose to hide the toolbar via a shortcut button, but the panic button option works better for making the toolbar disappear and reappear. Some standard features are included, such as a pop-up blocker, but it failed to block all ads. What's more, you can't customize the toolbar by adding or removing buttons. The search feature utilizes Google and there aren't any other search engine options. The Eliminate All Evidence button promises a free scan, but it sent us to the publisher's Web site instead. Most of the browser privacy tools failed to work (primarily the clear history tools). When we chose the Erase ALL Evidence option under the menu, again, it took us to the publisher's site, and didn't erase anything.
At the end of the day, you're better off sticking with IE's clear functionality for keeping your computer clean.

"Works but could be better."

Pros
This toolbar has a search engine, that is similar to the Google search engine. Has a word high lighter to high light search words, popup blocker, and hide toolbar button.
On browser privacy tools, you can erase browser history, auto complete forms, cache, cookies, recent documents, recycle bin contents, and temp files. Also it has a panic button options, to change the panic hot key.
Cons
The eliminate all evidence button is a trick. To get you to download Evidence Nuker, which is only free to scan. Evidence Nuker will not delete anything it finds, until you register and pay $29.95 for it.

There is nothing to like about this software. It needs to be a minus five

It does nothing but redirects to another site.
The site you are redirected to you have to pay for the download.
