Free GUI front end to the ClamAV opensource virus checker. Update the virus definitions. Point it to a file or folder and scan. Other features include logging results to a file, placing infected files into quarantine, monitoring folders for changes to their contents and a Finder Contextual Menu Item.
What's new in this version:
- Updated ClamAV engine to 0.97.4*
- Added ability to exclude "infected" files from future scans - useful to ignore false-positives.
- ClamXav Sentry will now check for updates on launch if set in ClamXav main preferences.
- Fixed a crash which could occurr if the designated Quarantine folder didn't exist.
- Fixed bug which could cause items not to be scanned in rare circumstances.

This is a basic virus scanner. It's doesn't offer real time protection, but you can scan whatever you like, locations or files. I don't like that it does freezes if you scan two different locations. The way I avoid this, is by turning the program off and on again for the next scan. The scanning time is really fast though.
