Free GUI front end to the ClamAV opensource virus checker. Update the virus definitions. Point it to a file or folder and scan. Other features include logging results to a file, placing infected files into quarantine, monitoring folders for changes to their contents and a Finder Contextual Menu Item.

It downloaded and installed with no problems.
Cons
When I tried to run it, the program required an update of the latest data (reasonable) but was consistently refused access to the server (odd). All I could do was quit.
Summary
I haven't got around to contacting the company yet to find out what is happening. I still seem to have some 'damage' due to the DNSchanger trojan I picked up while trying to find a video converter codex for my daughter's odd format video clip from college!

Easy to install and easy to use; seems to do its job; and most of all: it's free!
Cons
None so far.
Summary
This software is pretty good for mild protection. I scanned my Mac and, despite people saying it's slow, it finished within two hours (it may seem a long time for others, but whatever) and found nothing (mainly since my Mac is new). It's great if you just need some protection on your computer.
