Chromatic Tuner is shareware. It is a 12-note multi-tempered chromatic scale tuner that utilizes sound input devices such as built-in microphone, line in, and iSight. You can use Chromatic Tuner to tune your guitar, bass, or any musical instrument.

  • Tuning: 12-note multi-tempered chromatic scale (Equal Tempered, Kellner, Kirnberger III, Meantone, Pythagorean, Vallotti, Werckmeister III, Young, etc.)
  • Range: A0 (27.5Hz) - C8 (4186.0Hz)
  • Calibration: 349 - 499Hz (1Hz steps)
  • Accuracy: +/-1 cent
  • CPU usage: less than 10% on PowerBook G4 500MHz

    • Choose the "Sound Preferences" menu item from the application menu and click on the "Input" tab, then choose a device for sound input and adjust the input volume. I have only tested it with Mbox, iSight, and PowerBook G4 500MHz internal microphone. If Chromatic Tuner does not work with your input device, please let me know. Thanks.
