Version: Celestia 1.4.1
Pros: I love this. The controls, while a little difficult at first, allow you to get to pretty much anywhere once you learn them. You can go to other stars that have planets, get data on any star in the program, view constalations, moons, asteriods, man made objects, etc. Requires an open internet connection to get info on objects.
Cons: Not the best of graphics, but its a free 13.5MB program. What do you expect?
It allows you to select other galaxys to look at, but once at another galaxy, you have to use the menus to navagate away, you can't select anything onscreen.
Other than that, no problems at all.

Version: Celestia 1.4.1
Pros: Very versatile, good graphics. Best of the few I've looked at so far.
Cons: A little difficult to learn how to control. Could use a tool bar. Needs a convenient way to orient the view better.

Version: Celestia 1.4.1
"Like Google Earth, only with the stars!!"
Pros: Easy to understand how to use, and bursting with information. You can fly around in 3D space, in real time, or at any time in the past or future. You can go from seeing the clouds and lights of the earth, to right out the galaxy, and can see a other known galaxies, track asteroids and sattalites, and just watch years go by in minutes. Fascinating! Favorite program of all time!
