From Charonware :Case Studio is a professional and intuitive database designing tool, which allows you to visually create Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERD) for various database systems. It includes full support of the following databases: Oracle, IBM DB2, MS SQL, InterBase, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Sybase ASE, MS Access, Ingres, Informix, and several others. When creating ERD, the program considers individual database options such as referential integrity, constraints, domains, triggers, user permissions, and so on. Case Studio provides a gallery for saving and storing the most frequently used parts of models or a dictionary with predefined user data types. Moreover, data flows between tables can also be easily described by creating appropriate Data Flow Diagrams (DFD).
Key features also include universal reverse engineering, which allows you to reverse-engineer already existing database structure; a version manager; creation of very detailed HTML and RTF reports; the generating of SQL scripts; comparing ER-diagrams; the conversion of ER diagrams into other databases; a pattern editor for triggers, views, and stored procedures; support of JScript and VBScript; the export of diagrams into graphic files; and many more.
The latest 2.1 version fully supports Oracle 9i and MySQL 4 (with support of innoDB, HEAP, ISAM, MyISAM, MERGE, and BDB tables). Features include reverse engineering from Oracle 9i and MySQL 4, enhanced support of MS SQL 2000, SybaseASE, IBM DB2 and PostgreSQL, dictionary user types, text objects, detailed HTML, and RTF reports.
