Convenient groupings: When presenting scan results, recoverable files are organized into categories in the interface's left-land column. To see what any particular found file actually contains, just select it from one of the groups on the left, and a preview will show up in a box on the right-hand side of the interface.

Cons

No intro: When you first open the app, your only options are to select Quick or Raw recovery, with brief descriptions of each below the title. While this is the main function of the app, the Help documents and other resources aren't available until later. You just have to jump in and start a scan before you ever get to those options.

Bottom Line

This program offers nice versatility in terms of the types of devices it can scan and the way it presents the results. The interface is good, but the lack of any type of introduction could be confusing for novice users. The full version of Card Data Recovery for Mac costs $39.95, but you can try out the scanning options for free. The trial version offers no test recovery options.
