Version: CalorieKing.com Diet Diary 3.2
Pros: Intuitive design. There is a favorites option for food choices for faster navigation. I like the ability to change the the nutritional targets to meet the targets I choose. As long time diabetic, I have found a high protien, moderate carbohydrate diet works very well. This software is very flexible.
$29.99 for software that allows multiple users and has all these features is a bargain.
I have sampled numerous programs and I have found nothing as powerful and easy to use.
Cons: $39.99 per year to use the web features. For me this is not big deal, I don't want to share my information. I do not need message boards, or meal planning help.
IMHO the software is better than the Web site.

"very helpful on a day to day basis to learn what your caloric intake really is"
Pros: I have the DietDairy. I find it extremely useful since I downloaded the free trail first and have since decided to buy the $29.95 version. It's helped me to understand where I lack in some nutrition and over use in some others
Cons: It 's not specific about my purchase in general. I can't really figure out if it's good only for 13 weeks or as long as I want to use it. It's not the calorieking club since I can't get into those categories unless I buy a 39.99 subscription but I'm assuming it's good indefinately until I can't get into it! Then I'll probably be really mad since I bought 2 one for myself and my husband wanted his own.

Pros: Extensive food list, wonderful at keeping track of your progress and day to day eating habits. Good even if you aren't looking to lose weight.
Cons: $30 to upgrade to full version.

"Very easy, intuitive to use."
Pros: Liked the user interface which was very intuitive. You don't have to refer to help to get going. Provides all the basics for planning and tracking caloric input. Food database is pretty comprehensive and, again easy to use.
