Version: CadStd Lite 3.5.9
Pros: It is a nice program, it seems to be capable of creating advanced CAD drawings.
Cons: There was no uninstaller included in the package so I had to uninstall the program from the Windows Control Panel using Add or Remove Programs! It's too complex for a casual user. I took a few classes in architecture and engineering in school and this program is far too complex for me. It has a steep learning curve-- the interface isn't very straightforward.

"A professional drafting tool. Sleek, intuitive, functional, affordable."
Pros: As a "paper" draftsman working in my own Home Building business of over fourteen years, I never made the leap from paper to cad. The initial cost and the inconvenience of the learning curve just couldn't be justified. Thus I have no cad experience. Recently, circumstances found me in need of producing a kitchen plan with no drafting board at hand, only a computer. (I hate moving!) In desperation I downloaded CadStd Lite and gave it a try. It was learn cad now or be reduced to drawing on the kitchen counter with a No. 2 pencil and a red plastic ruler. I found CadStd Lite easy to use from the start. The full featured CadStd Pro even more so. Clear, concise HELP, TUTORIAL and USERS GUIDE. No fluff, no gimmicks, no dizzying overkill array of cryptic icon tool buttons. Just a simple yet elegant cad program that will never leave you wanting for features, accuracy or ease of use. A true professional drafting tool. Enjoy the free version for a few days then spend the $25 on the Pro version. Worth every cent and more.
Cons: My greatest regret is that I still don't have an excuse to buy a new computer! CadStd Pro runs smooth as silk on my old 200 MHz, IBM Aptiva with its whopping 64 Mb of RAM and Windows 98 OS. Affordable, user friendly cad is here.

"All I hoped it would be and more"
Pros: Fast download even with dial up connection. Smooth trouble-free installation (XP Home). Accurate feature rich CAD program. Easy to use - commands are intuitive. Support is actually helpful believe it or not. My old version of AutocadLT would not run on my XP computer and I could not afford to upgrade so I went looking for something else and found this one. Like so many others I began with the free version and quickly moved up to pro for $25. I am as happy as I can be. I use it for floor plans and elevations.
Cons: No cons.
