Version: CWShredder 2.1
"InterMute has done nothing but improve this program..."
Pros: Its free.
It detects and removes a LOT of variants of the horrible CoolWebSearch malware.
Scan times are very quick.
Interface is minimalistic and gives you good information during the scans.
Lets you have the program send bad files ot the recycle bin instead of deleting them right away.
Cons: Could use some interface improvements here and there.
Would be nice to know what the program is doing on the system while it looks for different variants.

Version: CWShredder 2.1
Pros: I was infected with CWS and used ad-aware and spybot to remove it. It never worked! So i used this and it removed it completely. It uses as small amount of resources and after using this product for 3 years! i have not come across ANY flaws or errors!

Pros: It detects many CWS but not this version and incredible quick scan.Remove CWS instantly.
Cons: 3 stars rated if Shredder is not freeware because it does not detected all or even 95%CWS and cannot completely remove CWS,just temporary.

"Finds and removes CoolWWW, period."
Pros: Run in safe mode and watch as CoolWWW dies in front of your eyes. Best in the free market at killing coolWWW.

Pros: Removes old versions of CWS very well. That's what you get it for. Free.
Cons: Not enough updates. Doesn't always kill off the new versions. Has to close media players and browsers while running...I dont' like that.
