i guess i would be happier if i happened to ever have the coolwebsearch things on any of my machines (6 desktops, 3 laptops). however, even with teenagers surfing and all kinds of stuff and websites, (evidently), i've never had that coolwebsearch problem. i've run this software and it has never found anything. my guess is because i use spybot search and destroy. i'm guessing that it immunizes for coolwebsearch because when spybot scans, i can see the words "coolwebsearch" listed. cwshredder might be a great backup if spybot misses the boat, but i haven't had an opportunity to "shred" anything.

Summary
This program confirmed that I don't (yet) have this malicious piece of software on my system. I was annoyed by the fact that the "Check for Update" and the "Test Your System for Other Spyware" buttons don't work.
