Trend Micro CWShredder is the premier tool to find and remove traces of CoolWebSearch, the name for a wide range of insidious browser hijackers from your PC. CWShredder removes these browser hijackers. CoolWebSearch installs dozens of bookmarks mostly to porn Web sites on your desktop, changes your home page without asking, and continually changes it back if you attempt to correct it. Furthermore, it significantly slows down the performance of your PC, and introduces modifications, which cause Microsoft Windows to freeze, crash or randomly reboot.
Version 2.19 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.

"ok ,but Trendmicro are a bit sneaky"
Pros: free, quick scan and does the job
Cons: Trend micro try to add cr*p to your hosts file.

Pros: i have never found anything 6 months of using i visit porn sites ????????
Cons: Questions for this tool is does it check only in IE or firefox OR the default browser I think it only checks IE i am not a IE user so i guess this is not for me this tool needs to give more details i have two browsers and IE is not one of them SO I DONOT KNOW

Version: CWShredder CoolWebSearch Trojan Remover 2.19
Pros: I had to for a total of 6 months. The first scan, it found 2 objects and removed them permenatly. Ok, good. It has never found anything again, but that just means I dont have CW on my computer. However, during the 6 mo's I had it, it never updated, which to me is odd for a super spyware bug cruising the net.
Its an install file I keep tucked away now, just in case.
Small and Easy to use.
Cons: Never updated in 6 months. Gotta question that.
Only searches/removes CW, not other spyware. Why not implement into a full fledged spyware program???
Its just too basic of a program, although it does what it was designed to do very well.
