This application helps expedite access to programs and Web pages, but some features are locked and others failed to function during assessment.

CU2 places a skinnable, minute textbox onto your desktop. To open an application or Web page, you need only type some letters (short name) into the box or press a hot key. You can create your own set of commands or check out the predefined list of commands, but the former feature is locked during trial. CU2 has a skin creator and the ability to read any text or clipboard content, but these features are locked as well.

The program did quite well in launching applications. However, commands to call Winamp, look up word definitions, and translate languages failed to work during testing. CU2 does provide faster and more convenient access to your programs than fumbling through the Start Menu. But all things considered, CU2 still has some blips to work out before it can do its job flawlessly.

CU2 can read web pages, documents or any text you drag onto it's form or copy to the clipboard with built-in Text-To-Speech capability. Launch MS Word or Excel or Outlook in two key strokes. Hit the hotkey, type your search and CU2 launches your browser, automatically displaying your results in the search engine of your choice. CU2 means that you don't have to open a Dos window in order to work with the command line.

Version 1.5.8 adds context menus and more search features.
