• Fast and precise validator

  It is a fast and precise validator that has saved my time. I use it through NoteTab Light and it integrates fine with this program.

  Cons

  None at all.

  Summary

  It is a fast, precise, and free validator with the limitations of a light version, but it is all I need for my occasional HTML coding.

  Pros

  I don't do a lot of HTML editing, and what I do is usually simple changes using Notepad. But for a clear presentation of what is going on in an HTML file, CSE HTML Validator Lite is hard to beat. At the price, impossible! I like that it can integrate with Firefox. I especially like the polite and flexible way it handles files that are changed by another application while it has them open.

  Cons

  It loses 1/2 star because it doesn't integrate with Firefox on a computer that is permanently offline. At least, not that I can figure out -- which for me is the same thing. Other than that, what's not to like?

  Summary

  Outstanding for viewing HTML files, and free to boot. I have not used it as an editor, so I don't have an opinion on that. For my use, primarily to clearly understand the HTML behind a file my browser is viewing, it is remarkably good.

  I've used other validators but in comparison CSE excels all others! I find it to be the fastest and most precise validator.

  This version just suggests that you upgrade to the "paid" version regarding any "problems" with your HTML or CSS coding that it finds.

  It has a lot of nifty (but mostly useless) attributes.

  Cons

  There isn't an HTML editor on the planet worth more than about $20 - let's face it they are just glorified notepads - and these folks are actually asking $120 for theirs.

  Summary

  Use the free download and when the trial is up delete it form your hard drive forever.
