Test web pages with standalone and mobile browsers locally or browser screenshots images.
Multi-Browser Viewer is the first true cross-browser compatibility testing software package. 1. Automated Browser tests on your local machine with no configuration required. 2. Real standalone browsers run from a single exe - no install required 3. Mobile Browsers and emulators, including Android, iPhone and iPad 4. Traditional Screenshot testing with the widest range of web browsers available today. Test any site by using real standalone browsers or using screenshot browser images (similar to Browsershots.org but higher reliability and quality). Run IE6, IE7 and IE8 alongside each other and clearly see the different behaviors and functionality of a webpage. Test secure pages, JavaScript and general look and feel, without having to set up multiple virtual machines or using slow VNC connections. Multi-Browser includes pre-packaged, virtualized standalone browsers, including IE6, IE7, IE8, IE9, IE10 and IE 11, Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Opera. Each browser launches from a single executable that runs in its own virtualized sandbox, thereby maintaining its own default rendering engine and isolating the browser from the rest of your PC. Multi-Browser Viewer also has a built-in HTML validation and auto correction feature, to help you identify any HTML errors that could be causing cross browser compatibility issues. Please note: This is the legacy version and a maintenance release for those users preferring the older release. A newer version - "MultiBrowser Professional" has been released. Check out MultiBrowser.com for details - some features include:1. Full Mobile emulation for Windows2. Local, standalone, sandboxed browsers (IE6-11, Chrome, Firefox and more)3. Visual Studio integration4. Responsive Design Testing5. Built-in Video screen and mobile recorder This and much more - check it out https://multibrowser.com
Selenium RC Integration - no need to set up, it is done for you.
Standalone Browsers - no need to use Selenium Grid or VMs
Mobile browsers and Screenshot engine is a nice bonus
Cons
Big Install and requires .Net 4 installed
The GUI is a little confusing at first
Summary
The other automation tools cost a fortune and can be tricky to set up. I tried doing Selenium before and to be honest I gave up. Multi-Browser Viewer has the browsers you need and it has basic automation working right out of the box. Really good idea.
Cool concept, buggy solution..

Pros
UI and concept are perfect
Cons
It either crashes or the progress bars bounce all over the place and it never finishes..
Summary
It uses servers for what browsers aren't installed and returns bitmaps in that case. The the progress monitoring and app itself are heavily bugged..
Maybe some other vendor will do this that actually listens to bug reports..
Crashes every day
Adanedhil
Pros
I don't know
Cons
Crashes every day
Summary
A must for every webmaster!

Pros
Complete browser package without extra dodgy installs like the IE package
Stand alone browsers to test flash, local and secure pages
Take screenshots of any public URL.
Widest range of Mac browsers
Cheaper than Browsercam and crossbrowsertesting
Cons
Not much really. Perhaps the screen resolutions for screenshots should be adjustable
Summary
Would recommend this to any webmaster or anyone who wants to make sure their website works in all major browsers.
Browser package - perfect for cross browser testing
GoneFishingAgain
Pros
16 actual sandboxed browsers, wide range of screenshot testing browsers, HTML validation, saves all files locally, easy to use and feels like a good piece of software
Cons
Although screenshot testing is available on Mac, the application it self is only available for Windows.
Summary
This is the first package I have found that lets me run IE6, 7 and 8 on the same machine, while keeping the browsers rendering engines intact. (There is a hacked IE package available on the Net, but I found it to be unstable and the rendering engine for IE is different). All the browsers launch quickly and runs without having to install the individual browsers, which is great.
I also found testing my sites with browser viewer was easier because I can switch between my dev environment and to the relevant problem browser with ease. This can be a pain if you have virtual machines set up or if you use one of the VNC solutions for cross browser testing on the internet. Bottom line is I would buy the software for the packaged browsers alone, never mind the other features.
The screenshot testing works pretty well. It takes full page screenshots of most pages without any problems and has the widest available browser selection that I could find on the web, especially its Mac selection is pretty cool. I also like the fact that all the images are saved locally. Each screenshot test request is saved in its own folder, together with the relevant pages HTML source code and a web mht file. I found this really useful, because I can refer back to the way a page looked previously.
My only critique would be that the application is not available for Mac, which is unfortunate, but other than that I can highly recommend it to anyone that wants to make sure their site works in all the different browsers available, even the more obscure ones?.
