From CLC bio :CLC Protein Workbench provides a wide range of advanced protein sequence analyses. This demo includes a vast amount of advanced protein sequence analyses. The program performs: alignments, phylogenetics, secondary protein structure prediction, protein family analysis (PFAM), Signal Peptide prediction (SignalP), BLAST, dot plots, hydrophobicity analyses, searches on GenBank, Swiss-Prot, TrEMBL, and PubMed. Log of actions/analyses performed is created. Version 1.2 comes with new features: Web based signal peptide prediction (SignalP); a 10 times faster alignment algorithm; an additional alignment algorithm; option of aligning alignments; fix-point alignments; re-alignment of alignments; new and more advanced printing and graphics export options; translation from protein to DNA while retaining the annotations
