Although it lacks a few of the bells and whistles found in other PC-cleaning applications, this free program offers more than enough features to make it a worthy download. CCleaner's interface is logically designed and makes it easy to wipe away your tracks from Internet Explorer and Mozilla, various Windows system areas, and some third-party applications.
CCleaner doesn't support a large number of extraneous programs as some competitors do, but it can erase traces from such popular programs as Spybot - Search & Destroy and WinZip. Also missing is a secure file shredder, but it makes up for the omission by supplying a Registry-cleaning utility, which quickly scans for invalid entries before removing them. CCleaner can even back up your Registry before removal, in case it accidentally removes a crucial component, and the download includes a feature for uninstalling any program on your machine.
Since this free application handles the majority of PC-cleaning chores and offers a nice extra, we have no problem recommending CCleaner to all users, except those who need to get rid of supersensitive data.

Pros: On Internet Explorer it will clean temporary internet files, cookies, history, recently typed URLs, index .dat files, last download location, and auto complete forms.
On windows it will clean temp files, empty recycle bin, windows log files, clipboard, start menu shortcuts, desktop shortcuts, and more.
On applications it will clean everything in Mozilla Firefox, adobe acrobat reader, office 2003, msn messenger, sun java, toolbar history, adobe flash player, real player, windows media player, and more.
Has a registry cleaner, a program uninstaller that works well. Click on options cookies can be filtered to keep, and settings can be changed.

Pros: Used with Wise Disk Cleaner, it automatically cleans my disk safely as long as you first restart after installing any other software.

Pros: This compact and neat program cleans away much of the clutter that's been slowing down your system, and that's only the start. You can also scan and remove invalid registries, also useful for optimizing your system. Erase traces and history of use from hundreds of common applications such as firefox, opera, winzip, etc. It also includes a start-up app controler, and an uninstaller to remove most of the software installed in your PC if you ever need it. You can even back up all the changes you've made. And it all does it under such minimal speeds, offering great results in reducing disk space and tuning up your computer.
I have to say this is one of the best freewares out there, if you're looking for a program that'll tune up your PC or perform the much-needed maintenance, this is probably the best choice you'll have under the price tag of $0

Pros: CCleaner has been my favorite for quite a while because it was fast, free, small, and very easy to use. It removes temp files for IE, Firefox, and Opera, and some windows temp. files. It comes with a registry cleaner, startup manager, and uninstaller manager. Scans were pretty quick and it was reliable when you need it. Hasn't crashed at all, and updates are done when needed, and easy-on-the-eye user interface.
Cons: However, after a few version upgrades of this product, the reliability of the product became less to me. First I downloaded it, functioned very well. As new versions came out, the analyzing speed started slacking and take a lot longer to scan whether there was a lot of junk files or very little. Doesn't have very good details at what it's deleting so I tend to leave a lot out incase it removes something important.
Registry cleaner and startup manager also isn't very helpful when displaying process or registry info. Although I shouldn't complain since this program is free of charge. Also, the interface looked a lot better in the past without that black solid color and the "Piriform" ad.

"the best program ever....it works great for windows vista"
Pros: this free program cleans out your computer and makes windows run faster....and thats all i have to say,,,,and the best part is its free.
