Version: Bryce 5
"I bought it before it was free!"
Pros: You can create any place on any world. With the props available at DAZ/Bryce, create literally anywhere you want.
Cons: This version only appears to take over your screen. If you mouse-over the top, the tabs are still there. It's been fixed in later versions.

Version: Bryce 5
Pros: It's really like the publisher says :"optimum balance between power and ease of use"
In few passages you can create simple nut realistic landscapes. You'll soon be ready to develop more complex scenes and then simple animations.
Texture controls are really intuitive.
Graphically the final results (with high antialias) are always excellent.
Cons: the learning curve become a bit steep passing from creating simple scenes to animations, which interface is not so clear as the rest.
3d controls are intuitive but a bit deceptive when you use the mouse,it should have a xyz-axis control on the object (ie like 3dsmax).Use arrows to solve this problem.

Version: Bryce 5
"An excellent start to anyone's 3D toolbox"
Pros: Bryce is very easy to use, and with some effort you can produce fantastic images with it. The interface is simple enough to get to work without a huge learning curve, and you are able to import 3D files from nearly any format. While the Deep Texture Editor is daunting, it can produce some great textures. While it doesn't match up to high-end programs, costing many thousands, or even less expensive programs in the hundreds of dollars, it is an excellent introduction to the world of 3D modelling and rendering, and is an essential tool for any beginner's 3D toolkit.
Cons: There are a few known bugs in Bryce 5, some of them fixed in the 5.5 release (not for free, though). One of the most annoying bugs is the taskbar bug, where the taskbar under windows is visible but locked (so the time doesn't update) and not useable. Render times can also get quite lengthy, and it doesn't come with the advanced options of expensive programs.

Version: Bryce 5
"5.5 is out 6 is on it's way but this baby is the best so far"
Pros: Bryce 5 was a Corel product before being sold to DAZ. of all the 3D landscaping and animation products this programme gives you big bangs for its bucks (lmao now it's FREE) It is like any new product to you at first (strange) but the Bryce community is huge and very friendly & helpful, there are also sub communities and plenty of places on the web where you can pick up FREE objects for Bryce. The learning curve is not steep as you would find with Zbrush or Lightwave and in comparison the price difference is massive and DAZ are making things happen so take them up on the offer and become a member you will save big time and wonder why it is so reasonable in price against its BIG competitors. This is a tool for the people and if you are into gaming you can design whole games or create new characters. If you are more on the artistic side then just go to shortcummings dot com this guy will blow you right out of the water when it comes to what you can achieve using Bryce 5, he is the Master of Moods and is the BEST in the business, don't take my word for it go and see for your self, this guy even gives you free tutorials on using Bryce and will have you up and running in no time, you will be amazed at what you can do...so go on, what are you waiting for :-)
A Big 10/10 from Custom Built.
