"Does its job, and it is free. What are some of you expecting??"

    January 13, 2006   |   By dfichtner

Version: Browser Hijack Recover (BHR) 2.3

    Pros

It works fine, and does its job. I have used this to clean computers for friends recently. The wizard is fairly simple to use. Why others insist on trashing this program for not continuing to protect, I can only guess. It is not meant to do that. You need a program like Microsoft Antispyware (free) to do that. BHR gives you a free month trial (unless that has changed recently) which is more than enough to clean things and secure your system with a program meant to do that. Many of the other programs mentioned expect you to pay for the continued support.

    Cons

As with any browser hijack recovering program, it can be dangerous if you delete the wrong thing. BHR has a wizard which is quite helpful.

Oh, and check your desktop for IE icons, and delete them. Make new clean ones. They can be fake links and go to other sites when clicked on. BHR doesn't check those.

    Pros

It did its job but lacks some host installs.

    Cons

2 or 3 programs tested against beat the system. It is the medicine to fight a cold but it does'nt stop it from coming back!

    "potential"

    March 24, 2005   |   By pc front

Version: Browser Hijack Recover (BHR) 2.1

    Pros

allways on the look out for good apps we can use in our computer repair shop. this doesnt qualify....yet. why do this whaen spysweeper or ad aware does the same thing.

    Cons

this does exactly what it says, but doesnt stop the problem, it will default you homepage settings to factory resets but doesn't quarantine the viruses.

use adaware or spy sweeper they do a better job and keep it fixed.

they were right when it says for computer users not experts because i am an expert and i saw right through this junk!!!!!!!BEWARE
