This application encrypts plain and rich text format text, but the cluttered interface and disabled critical feature will make you regret testing this demo. Blue Tango - The Text Scrambler's cluttered, illogical, and unnecessarily complicated interface is the antithesis of user-friendly. We couldn't test the program's primary function, as encryption is disabled in the demo. The program places help text in scrolling text boxes that are almost unreadable. The help file can't be searched and a wizard is unavailable. Advanced users who spend the time to learn this program will be able to unscramble the sample encrypted RTF file. This utility offers only a single encryption algorithm, limits plain text to 65,535 characters, and overlays numerous screens, making it difficult to navigate. Anyone looking for an effective, powerful, and easy-to-use encryption utility won't find it in this 15-day demo.
From Higher Math:
Blue Tango is a way to make your messages discrete. It allows you to keep documents and messages confidential. The document can be plain, formatted (rich), or HTML. The message can be e-mail or chat session (like messenger). You create the text and scramble all or portions of it using a password of your choosing. Recipients can unscramble the encoded portions as long as they know the password. No expensive "secure" transmission is needed. You simply transmit the text as usual (with any or all of it encoded). The recipient simply receives it and unscrambles the encoded sections by entering the password that originally encrypted the text.
