Version: BitDefender Free Edition 10.0
Pros: fast, non-intrusive, good detection, possible all kinds of configuration. Fine tune as you like - for everything there is settings and options.
Cons: No offline update. It's a big disadvantage.
Summary: Overall this is how anti-virus software should look like and perfom.

Pros: Does what it needs to do.
Cons: As with all the antiviruses I have tested, it is eaily disarmed by some of the more potent malware. Also, not compatible with Comodo firewall when used on the Vista OS.
Summary: I recommend this to most people. It is free, it does what it should and I have not found one internet suite that has good firewalls, antivirus and malware protection so I will continue to use 3 different programs.

Version: BitDefender Free Edition 10.0
Pros: It has the best detection rate, scans all areas, custom scanner, and is free.
Cons: It makes your computer slower than others when scanning and doesn't scan fast when it does make your computer slow.
Summary: BitDefender is a by far the best free anti-virus on the market.
