"Still only one view. There are better ones out there."
Version: Billiards 6.0
Pros
clear graphics, much improved.
Cons
Seems slow, and only one view to shoot with. Too expensive for the lack of real playing features.
Summary
Needs a lot of work to match up with the others out there.
-
"very realistic and helpful to learn the game."
Version: Billiards 5.1
Pros
Asking for the pocket and which ball will go there is a challange but makes it a real help in learning how to make the shot....repeat the shot is helful too
Cons
Sometimes cannot pull stick back far enough to get more roll out of the que ball.
Summary
Just a very realistic game in color, action, and equipment.

"Great Program!"
Version: Billiards 5.0
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I have actually played this game and it is a solid piece of programming. Billiards is very realistic, good physics and sound effects and is reasonably priced. It is as close to playing on a real table as you can get on a computer screen. Future improvements: ability to change view angle on the table and length of shot vector not affected by screen size. -
"Ridiculous"
Version: Billiards 5.0
Summary

an outrageously overpriced 2D-only game with unrealistic physics and a clunky interface, all that for 20$
Thanks again baKno for another "gem" -
"COOL !"
Version: Billiards 3.5
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This is a great game, and for less than $20 you get all these games. Simulation is very good, so are the options to play. It would be great if we can control the cue ball with more options, and also view the table "vertically" instead of horizontally all the time. But it's very enjoyable as is.
Great work....keep it up. -
"Superior Simulation"
Version: Billiards 3.1
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Just to clarify, Billiards v3.1 now includes all five games, and players can choose either a Practice mode or Match mode (to play against a second person in the same room) in any of the games. Instructions on how to play each game are included.
The graphics in Billiards are all rendered in superior 3D, and in addition to the ball movement, the table also shows real-time ball shadows and glare. There are even realistic sound effects, and current scores are always visible.
Because of the processor power needed, however, I would not recommend Billiards for any Mac of the G4 era, or older. But on an iMac G5, for example, this game "rocks".
And customer support is excellent ... in my experience always getting same day response.
Billiards can be tried for free, and the purchase price is very reasonable ... especially since you are really getting five different games!
