From Beneton Software :Beneton Movie GIF is a complete GIF editing tool. Either beginners or advanced users will find an utility to this simple and effective program. BMG supports over 48 file formats, such as BMP, GIF, JPG, and PNG. Use drag-and-drop to move frames quickly. Multiple frames selecting makes it easy to delete, copy, cut, paste, or move a part of your animation. Many different effects such as rotate, distortion and transition offer you many options to get the results you want in only a few clicks. Some rare but useful features are also included: you can save and load a batch of single-frame files (frame1.bmp, frame2.bmp). A built-in image editor offers an easy way to edit your frames with many tools (pencil, shapes, airbrush, alpha brush, fill, selection, text, onionskin, and others). Other features include ndividual frame properties, and the ability to export as AVI video. Version 1.1.1 adds Windows Vista compatibility.
Note:This installer also includes Crawler toolbar. Installation of this component is optional.

Pros: 1) Simple un-intimidating interface...
2) FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!
3) All those effects (I'll probably never use them all)
Cons: 1) Maximum 720X500 dimensions. For most this may not be a problem, but when you just found a radical 517X552 image and you want to animate it some how.... It sucks that you have to distort it just to be able to animate it.
2) SLOW! VERY SLOW! Be warned. I may not have the most up to date computer (Ok it's a couple of years old with XP), but when I am adding in effects, and the program slows to a crawl; the rating begins to fall... (it even rhymes)
2.5) A minor lack of Minimizing/Maximizing type buttons (becomes annoying when it freezes up)

"Best free GIF maker although the output size is a bit bigger"
Pros: I could list all the cons, but why? It's simply better than all other FREE GIF makers.
Cons: Although there is one con; the output filesize.
