"Simple, fast and easy."
Version: Bat To Exe Converter 1.5.1
Pros
Quick and easy to use. Converts BAT and CMD files to EXE. Allows any information in the BAT/CMD files to be unreadable (binary). This was my primary reason for the need of this utility.
Cons
None at this time

"Awesome Product!"
Version: Bat To Exe Converter 1.5.1
Pros
Works as it says and quickly, and it's FREE! Yay!
Cons
It could use a better versioning tool, because whenever I compile the BAT file, the resulting EXE says version 1,0,0,0 instead of 1.0.0.0
Summary
Great product overall and it's free too. I love it! Please make changes with the versioning problem I described. All I think you have to do is change #,#,#,# to #.#.#.#. Please do this so the resulting EXE will look more sophisticated. I'm not trying to control you, I'm just saying that the version thing is a little off. ;)

"Works great"
Version: Bat To Exe Converter 1.5.1
Pros
does exactly what is says, allows custom icons.
Cons
allowing a custom splash screen would be nice
Summary
I couldn't ask more for this program. its free, and yet its 10x better then the pay versions on this site. make sure you turn off your antivirus program when you create your EXE, I don't fault this program, its more of an issue with norton.

"It triggers false virus warnings"
Version: Bat To Exe Converter 1.5.1
Pros
It works just fine.
Cons
You cannot use this to create batch files for any but your own computer. If you use your compiled exes in a software that others use, they will think your work is untrustworthy. One of my apps users called Norton, who said it was a virus.
Summary
On your own PC, your batch files will work fine - why not use them. After all, YOU know they're good, so what wrong with them? On other people's computers, you'll just cause trouble and confusion for others. A REAL bat-to-exe converter, one 'whitelisted' by the antivirus companies, would be worth paying for. It makes no difference if the virus warnings are false. Most people will trust Norton more than you. Because each compiled exe will have a new name, having one of the compiled exes 'approved' will have no effect on the others. It's like being arrested by the FBI mistakenly. It doesn't matter if you're innocent. You still have to go to court. I hope the author of this excellent program issues a new version.

"installed malware."
Version: Bat To Exe Converter 1.5.1
Pros
the program itself works really well! converted file in seconds!
Cons
had to download it with some stupid "cnet download manager" which conveniently installed some malware called "StartNow toolbar" and changed my homepage.
Summary
this program is really useful, but the download manager isnt. i will be using other sites to download from in the future.

"Not as good as other batch file compilers"
Version: Bat To Exe Converter 1.5.1
Pros
NOT A VIRUS!! LIKE THE PREVIOUS POSTERS HAVE SAID
Cons
AVG free says this is a virus. Why would CNET upload a virus? This cannot be true!
Summary
Some nice features but not really free!

"A handy solution for several problem"
Version: Bat To Exe Converter 1.5.1
Pros
Several useful options, can contain files inside the generated .exe, ,provides version info, and can generate Vista Manifest
Cons
Doesn't have "save" feature, you have to reselect everything you open it
Summary
"Save" feature would be so helpful
Doesn't have a 64-bit version which is sometimes urgently needed

"Excellent product, and simple.to use"
Version: Bat To Exe Converter 1.5.1
Pros
1- easy to use
2- creates an EXE with silent and temp directory options for installsCons
Dont get me wrong, but its just a converter, it doesnt compile everything into the exe and create a completelt new MSI package and folder. Thats not what is supposed to do - so look elsewhere if thats what you need.
Summary
Look, for many network needs, you want an EXE to "run as" needs and there are also many other limitations with a BATCH file. This does what its supposed to and converts that annoying BAT to an EXE for easier administration/distribution use.

"Did exactly what it says. Works like a charm."
Version: Bat To Exe Converter 1.5.1
Pros
i made a bunch of my bat files for games and scripts, and made them into apps. Did what i wanted it to do
Cons
i have no problems with this product

"Great Software to use with Batch Files for many uses!"
Version: Bat To Exe Converter 1.5.1
Pros
It really does what it should! It has many options for processing your file! It won't infect your files, whatever Electrk said is not true. I have Avast! 5.1, and he has the really bad AVG wich infects your files!
Cons
No icons selection.
Summary
Its NOT a virus, CNET won't put those up here!
