Barca has more under the hood and less junk in the trunk than bigger e-mail-management programs. The personal information manager includes a calendar, a to-do list, a contacts list, and perfunctory e-mail filters and search. The Notes section stores plain-text jottings, while the Diary stores lengthier documents and allows formatting. The error log helps you figure out problems with your e-mail accounts. To circumvent service providers' maximum-recipient limits, the program can split large lists into smaller chunks. We also like the ability to trigger other programs using the calendar's reminder function. The interface looks familiar but works differently, hiding a number of features in right-click context menus rather than nested menu-bar windows. The program even includes a built-in scripting language for advanced mail processing and handling. At less than 6MB of memory consumption even when downloading e-mails, Barca makes a tempting replacement for Web-mail accounts.Publisher's description
From Poco Systems :Barca is an integrated e-mail program, a personal-information manager, and a project planner. Aimed at the professional and small-business market, Barca provides a single interface to manage personal and business information, plan and schedule tasks and appointments, communicate with others, and collaborate on team projects. The e-mail capabilities of Barca have built-in Bayesian spam filters, protect users from viruses and spam, and are not susceptible to the virus vulnerability of Outlook and Outlook Express.
Barca is fast, easy to use, scriptable, and flexible. For administrators, moving Barca installation from one computer to another is as simple as copying the install directory, as Barca does not install any DLLs on the user's computer. Version 2.1 build 3650 has fixed bugs associated with product download, and processing of recurring calendars.

Version: Barca 2.1 build 3650
Pros: @technogeek3000: I'm only a fellow user and of course moderator. In no other way do I represent Poco Systems. I'm from Belgium (Dutch), so excuse me about the words I use in my posts or replies. I'm limited to the way I would like to express myself.
As for the Palm sync, it's been abandoned. Not because PSI didn't want to continue, but because of the problems PalmOne is giving to developers by not releasing the API's. Not only does this apply to this Palm sync beta, but to Palm devices as well. :-/
I admit PSI should take down that page, since it's no longer planned on their agenda. We, moderators, provide as many help as we possibly can.
Official support has been improved a lot, since Tomas took over. :-)
As for the software itself, it runs great here, although it does have some little bugs, but then again which software doesn't have bugs.

Version: Barca 2.1 build 3650
Pros: where do I start. easy to use, rich featured , everything is right there, no confusing sub-sub menu.
TABS!!! it creates tabs dependng on what u click so u can lets say go back to your adresses without closing your focus on certain email.planner is totally amazing. very intuitive , drag and plan features, color coded , i mean u got to try ourself..
Cons: not found. except its not free, but then again its worth the 50 something bucks.

Version: Barca 2.1 build 3650
"Okay if it works for you, otherwise dire..."
Pros: Very nice interface and initially seems impressive, so I bought it.
Cons: As time goes by you realise there are more and more quirks and bugs. It's then you find out the supposed support from the software developer for registered users is non-existant. DON'T BUY IT - I really wish I hadn't!

Version: Barca 2.1 build 3650
"Liked it, just not what I was looking for."
Pros: I like the interface and it did what it said it would.
Cons: It was more of an email client than I needed. Like an Outlook alternative.
