From Willow Creek Software :From the developer: "Backup Made Simple is an easy-to-use yet full-featured program for making backups to hard disk, diskette, zip disk, CD-RW, CD-R, over a network, and many other devices. Backup Made Simple can back up and restore your entire system, including the registry and Windows itself, or selectively back up and restore any part of it.
"Files are normally saved on the backup in a special format that compresses and splits them across as many discs as needed, but they can also be saved as exact copies of the originals. You can use the program's built-in facility to restore them, or if saved as exact copies you can look at them in Windows Explorer or use the appropriate program to open them directly on the backup. The special format can be used for all files, or just files above a size you specify. any size of file can be backed up.
"This new version can create a log file listing what was backed up, has an easy-to-use built-in scheduler to start backups in the middle of the night, and several other minor enhancements. The software is designed for less experienced users, but there are also options for more experienced users. You can back up recently modified files or files with the "archive" flag set, clear the "archive" flag, automatically save multiple backups on a disc without conflicting with each other, use command line options instead of dialogs to launch unattended backups with a scheduler utility, and more."
