Pros: Great for removing existing infections
It's free
Finds many of the viruses that cause system instability
Cons: It's NOT a substitute for a full antivirus programme. Avast Free Edition is considered the best anti-virus available to date and it's free. Download that if you don't have an antivirus already

Pros: Does it's job, looks for specific viruses.
Cons: If you want a full feature virus scanner, download Avast home edition 4.6. This one just looks for worms without installing anything.

"A great quick way for virus removal."
Pros: This is a simple,easy to use, no frills virus remover.Avast Virus Cleaner Tool is an executable program which means you do not have to install it!! Scans are quick, around 8min for 20,000 files. It will create a log file everytime you use it for you to refer to upon virus removal. This is a great free tool to remove any existing viruses already on your PC. This along with a good real-time monitoring anti-virus program and you will pretty safe.
Cons: Does not give you the option of which drives or files you would like scanned. Reminder this is a STAND-ALONE program and not intended to keep visuses from being introduced into your PC.You need a good Anti-Virus with real-time monitoring of your system to do that. Three good FREE ones are listed best to fair AVG,AVAST,ANTIVIR. Make sure you have one of these or one of your choice loaded onto your PC A.S.A.P.!!!

"great, if you think that your system is infected."
Pros: i have had avast home edition for 2 years. this company is fantastic! i download this to search for nasty viruises on other peoples pc's to fix them. then, once they are removed, you can safely download avast home edition. good job guys! 100% viruis detection guarrenteed.(go to there website to find out more)
