Starting from the Internet Explorer engine, Avant Browser adds useful capabilities, such as grouped favorites, an RSS reader, and tabbed browsing. The first thing we noticed upon launch was the aesthetically pleasing skin that came as the default with Avant Browser, but you can choose from among many preloaded skins in the Tools menu. The tabbed-browsing feature lets you quickly switch among Web sites, rather than having to shuffle through several browser instances in the Windows taskbar. If you visit several Favorites often, you can save them as a group and open the whole group with one click. When you shut down the program, Avant Browser remembers which windows were open and launches them the next time it starts up. You also can automatically refresh all windows, or only the current one, at regular intervals. A simple pop-up blocker works in most cases, but it was powerless against some floating banners and other, more obscure pop-up methods. Overall, we found Avant Browser a great alternative to Internet Explorer, with useful features that make browsing even more efficient. Watch the CNET video review of Avant Browser:

The built-in Yahoo and Google search engines enable users to search for Web pages, images, groups, directories, lyrics, software, and news on the Internet. Avant Browser provides options for blocking the download of Flash media, pictures, video, sounds, and ActiveX components, so users can efficiently use their bandwidth and speed up page loading. All opened pages can be stopped, refreshed, closed, or arranged with one click. It also comes with built-in RSS reader. Its similar Web sites bar displays Web sites, which are related to the opened Web pages.
Version 11 build 43 fixes several encoding bugs.

Pros: the perfect combo between IE to firefox/opera. decent pop-up blocker, and the ability to disable activeX, java, flash, image, video, sounds, plus with less browser flaws/holes, that tops for its security. secondly, you will be amazed by its innovative but simple and effective feature like mouse gesture, online profile storage, autofill, safe recovery. but it doesn't miss any of the essential features you expect from firefox or IE like multi-tab browsing, privacy erasing, fullscreen(in 2 version), built-in search, full IE compatiablity(even supports IE toolbars), skin, etc. if that doesn't satisfiy you, its very customizable UI will. overall, it is not a bad choice to switch avant browser from IE, its offers better feature and surfing speed and without the clutter of IE.
Cons: i doubt about the security of the browser as it doesn't have phishing protection like IE7/firefox2/opera9.1 has. also it comes at a price to lose some of the neat feature of opera/firefox.

Pros: Its great, a lot of good utilities, fast, so much better than IE7, well, we have now in Avant utilities like "URL Alias" , I type just "GG" to go to google.com, or "DWL" to go to download.com, It has mouse gestures and a lot of great things, I just cannot understand how is posible that Download.com gives 4 stars to IE7 and 3 to Avant, IE7 is now what Avant had 3 years ago, so this utilities Avant has now, we will see them in IE9 in about 4 or 5 years.
Avant Force is creative, they put in AB what Micro$oft is going to put in IE in more that 3 years in the future.

"Stable, light and extremely well though out browser."
Pros: Clean, clear, easy, light. Everything IE7 should have been. More customisable features than I can shake a stick at!
The company I work for uses a system that requires a browser for a front end, and has a Firebird database backend, search times are the shortest through Avant, as such have rolled it out to 250 users.
Cons: Unless you can move it and I don't know about it, the file menus on the right hand side takes a little getting use to.
