Starting from the Internet Explorer engine, Avant Browser adds useful capabilities, such as grouped favorites, an RSS reader, and tabbed browsing. The first thing we noticed upon launch was the aesthetically pleasing skin that came as the default with Avant Browser, but you can choose from among many preloaded skins in the Tools menu. The tabbed-browsing feature lets you quickly switch among Web sites, rather than having to shuffle through several browser instances in the Windows taskbar. If you visit several Favorites often, you can save them as a group and open the whole group with one click. When you shut down the program, Avant Browser remembers which windows were open and launches them the next time it starts up. You also can automatically refresh all windows, or only the current one, at regular intervals. A simple pop-up blocker works in most cases, but it was powerless against some floating banners and other, more obscure pop-up methods. Pros
It resembles Internet Explore very well and a novice will be able to convert easily, but what's so great is the excellently managed tab browsing and the use of the middle click of the mouse.
It has so many features that I can't even live without. I was going to convert to linux, but since there are no linux versions I couldn't. And that is the only reason I'm typing in XP.

Has tabbed browsing as many other browsers. Is very secure with a very little amount of security holes. Contains many features and is easy to block multimedia and ActiveX. Google Toolbar compatible.

Even on dialup, the download is quick and setup is a breeze. It is quick loading. The tabs are fantastic to use - especially if you use multiple windows. I run two Proboards and find the tabs invaluable. As a matter of fact, Avant Browser is the only Browser that I encourage my visitors to use.

The version that worked was basically IE with tabbed browsing, also had an auto refresh feature, and auto save of the websites if you had to close down the browser

I have been using AB for over 6 months now and like it very much, but started to find that it does not display google toolbars correctly, and since a few days its been hanging quite a bit (esp since i loaded the new veesion of piccasa, so tried to reinstall and this morning from the AB website. Expect for throwing the startup AB logo it would not even start up, restarted my comp and tried again, no luck. Am runing Win XP, service pack 2

Tabbed browsing, grouping, works with every web page (after all it sits on top of IE, not like the others). Now no longer need roboform. If Windows & Virus Scanner etc up to date is very secure. Much, much quicker than Firefox etc. Cannot recommend this browser highly enough.

This is much faster than mozilla and u can add the aadblocker definitions/sites+tabs have close button setting google for search is very easy go to standard search window and change the link given in quick search and put it. it is like this..remove %s at the end of the google string to make it work.Rest of the things are not touched
