Starting from the Internet Explorer engine, Avant Browser adds useful capabilities, such as grouped favorites, an RSS reader, and tabbed browsing. The first thing we noticed upon launch was the aesthetically pleasing skin that came as the default with Avant Browser, but you can choose from among many preloaded skins in the Tools menu. The tabbed-browsing feature lets you quickly switch among Web sites, rather than having to shuffle through several browser instances in the Windows taskbar. If you visit several Favorites often, you can save them as a group and open the whole group with one click. When you shut down the program, Avant Browser remembers which windows were open and launches them the next time it starts up. You also can automatically refresh all windows, or only the current one, at regular intervals. A simple pop-up blocker works in most cases, but it was powerless against some floating banners and other, more obscure pop-up methods. Overall, we found Avant Browser a great alternative to Internet Explorer, with useful features that make browsing even more efficient. Watch the CNET video review of Avant Browser:

All opened pages can be stopped, refreshed, closed, or arranged with one click. It also comes with built-in RSS reader. Its similar Web sites bar displays Web sites, which are related to the opened Web pages.
Version 10.2 build 33 fixes a bug of tabs alignment.

Pros: Good browser , fast in readin' pages , nice interface & , above all , a lot of features . Most important quality is surfin' security : AVANT avoid evil intrusion & has integrated pop-ups blocker too . It also automatically searches for websites related to page you're visitin' & display them on top bar (on the right side) . Integrated yahoo serch & link that allow u to access to internet option manager , skins setting & online translation . Latest beta version (build 22) is now available

Version: Avant Browser 10.2 build 33
"I gave it up once before, not again."
Pros: The version just prior to this one was a little too buggy for me. This version seems cleaner, faster, more stable. With the flash blocker on, and the add blocker on, the pages load faster than any other version thus far. I really like the fact that this browser has now added a close button on the tab itself instead of clicking on the tab and scrolling all the way to the bottom just to close it. Since I have SP2 and all the updates, I feel secure using this exceptional shell. I would recommend this browser as the only IE extension that anyone should use. Maxthon is slower and it seems to be showing its age just like IE itself. Once IE7 comes out with its final version, I will once again have to evaluate this browser against another. But until then, I will faithfully use Avant, and its subsequent releases. You'll find that IE extensions/shells are the way to go since the internet is really based on its rendering. If you don't want to download a whole lot of browsers just to attain speed, appearance or just to jump on the band wagon, Avant will get you where you need to go fast and reliably. You will find that Avant will get better and better with each release as I have found Avant to be. I haven't donated to any browser except this one due to the fact that you can really tell a lot of thought, skill, and talent went into the creation of this IE shell. A lot of people will tell you to steer clear of anything related to IE but you just can't do that and view every site that you want. Just make sure that you have SP2 all the updates, and you'll find that even though it's an IE shell, it's safe as the sites you visit, virus protection and spyware protection you have. I personally don't like changing browsers during an internet session and sacrificing performance, and with Avant, you won't have too.
Cons: It doesn't have Opera or Firefox for its name to get people to flock to it.

Pros: I just got this program a few hours ago, but I am highly satisfied with it. One awsome thing about it is you can connect through other proxies so it works at school... Also it's really fast and looks cool too. I would definately recommend this browser!

Pros: - Faster than IE and certainly than Maxthon.
- Nice set of features and skins.
Cons: - Lacks plugins and extensions.
- Kind of too much memory 48MB compared to Maxthon 10MB but way better than the notorious FFox 80MB.
