Starting from the Internet Explorer engine, Avant Browser adds useful capabilities, such as grouped favorites, an RSS reader, and tabbed browsing. The first thing we noticed upon launch was the aesthetically pleasing skin that came as the default with Avant Browser, but you can choose from among many preloaded skins in the Tools menu. The tabbed-browsing feature lets you quickly switch among Web sites, rather than having to shuffle through several browser instances in the Windows taskbar. If you visit several Favorites often, you can save them as a group and open the whole group with one click. When you shut down the program, Avant Browser remembers which windows were open and launches them the next time it starts up. You also can automatically refresh all windows, or only the current one, at regular intervals. A simple pop-up blocker works in most cases, but it was powerless against some floating banners and other, more obscure pop-up methods. Overall, we found Avant Browser a great alternative to Internet Explorer, with useful features that make browsing even more efficient. Watch the CNET video review of Avant Browser:

"Avant keeps getting better with each version!"
Pros: Pros: If you are going to upgrade your Internet Explorer, this is the one to use. This latest version of Avant surpasses Maxthon and Slim Browser in overall speed and ease of use. The tabbed browsing feature is the best I've seen. You can open all your favorites with just one click, instead of one at a time. The popup blocker is very good, and it also features a RSS reader. Avant is free, no ads, and I recommend it. 5 stars and Two thumbs up!

Pros: It's good for browsing, page loading speed not as fast as Opera, but shortcut button well arrangement.
Cons: Security not better compared with firefox and opera. Got infected by spywares/viruses easily unless u personally installed pop ups blocker.

Pros: The browser gives you more control over web browsing. You can block ads, pop-ups, halt flash, ActiveX, Java applets, JavaScript, web videos, and audio from downloading. You can also refresh opened tabs at will or at regular intervals, tile vertically, tile horizontally, and cascade open tabbed windows. The other features such as URL alias, quick search, and groups make browsing efficient, and quicker. Avant Browser's floating toolbar which shows itself when you point your mouse cursor over a image is there for convience to block ads, pop-ups, send email, zoom the particular area of webpage, copy URL to clipboard, and open link in a new tab. If you are don't like the floating toolbar you can disable it via Avant Browser options, and Miscellanous menu then click off the various options you want for floating toolbars. You can right click individual tabs for various options such as adding a pop-up to the pop-up blocker blacklist, and a URL alias among other things. These little things help you get things done quickly. The browser doesn't feel sluggish as Internet Explorer and even Mozilla Firefox on lower end PCs. The menus within the options are nicely laid out and easy to read. It shouldn't confuse any ordinary PC user. Overall great browser to have.

"fast, easy and does a lot of the simple things for me as I work"
Pros: Fast start-up and, when I'm working with my E-mails, it follows along and is already there, when I'm ready to go. Single click windows at the bottom means that I can go back to any website that I have been to, without the back button.
Cons: nothing yet; and I've used it for over 6 mths. now.

Pros: Very good program, very functional and i liked his tab browsing. But, as Mozilla user, still not fast and secure like Firefox. Maybe it's just my opinion, what can i say? IN any way, good way to make your IE much better.
Cons: Almost none. Simply, if you like features of AB, maybe it's better to take on Firefox or Opera, which are made in start with those options... It seems to me that they are faster and more secure, nothing else. But, it's just choice from one to another.
