Starting from the Internet Explorer engine, Avant Browser adds useful capabilities, such as grouped favorites, an RSS reader, and tabbed browsing. The first thing we noticed upon launch was the aesthetically pleasing skin that came as the default with Avant Browser, but you can choose from among many preloaded skins in the Tools menu. The tabbed-browsing feature lets you quickly switch among Web sites, rather than having to shuffle through several browser instances in the Windows taskbar. If you visit several Favorites often, you can save them as a group and open the whole group with one click. When you shut down the program, Avant Browser remembers which windows were open and launches them the next time it starts up. You also can automatically refresh all windows, or only the current one, at regular intervals. A simple pop-up blocker works in most cases, but it was powerless against some floating banners and other, more obscure pop-up methods. Overall, we found Avant Browser a great alternative to Internet Explorer, with useful features that make browsing even more efficient. Watch the CNET video review of Avant Browser:

Pros: THIS BROWSER WILL AMASE YOU HOW EASY AND CONFARTABLE IS TO USE. I AM SURE THAT YOU WILL DUMP YOUR OLD BROWSER AFTER YOU HAVE TRYED THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pros: Avant is yet another contender in the browser wars. I like how it's fully skinnable, and you can drag the toolbars all over the place. It doesn't take long to load, and biggest thing is, it's free, with no extra ads or little pieces of extra software. Thumbs up for Avant if you're just looking to get away from Internet Explorer's many flaws.
Cons: Sharing a similar base with IE, Avant also shares some vulnerabilities...it doesn't live up to its promise of 'fastest browser on earth', and i found it to be only slightly faster than IE, while Firefox and Opera boasted even bigger speed increases.
Still, Avant is a decent solid program.

Pros: I used this browser a few weeks ago and some of the features were good, though not great. The popup blocker works well, and the tabbed browsing feature in this is better than in mozilla
Cons: I don't like the intergrated Yahoo! search and there are too many buttons which make it seem crowded

Pros: Of all the browsers of this type that I've used.Avant seems for me the fastest and most stable of it's kind.
Cons: Still just another ie overlay.
