"Task-to-exe" feature is way too expensive for what you get.
Summary
6 months ago I convinced my boss to buy this software for my work. After a few weeks of me using the software, he realized how powerful this software can be. He was so happy with it, he paid for the upgrade "Premium" and then we added the "task-to-exe" feature. Premium is much better than Standard and well worth the price, but not Task-to-exe. It is really tough to get the EXEs working consistantly on other computers.
After, another month or so of working with Automation Anywhere, as a result of all of the things I had done with it, I got a large salary increase. My job discription has nearly completely changed, and now I ONLY work on automating tasks in the office. I actually enjoy coming to work, now that my computer does all of the boring work for me. -

-I downloaded the demo so I could evaluate if it would work for me. I received 2 emails and 5(!) calls within 24 hours, all aggressive sales guys speaking poor English. I'm sorry you just lost a potential customer.
Summary
If you enjoy getting harassed at work constantly by sales guys who do not understand what you are saying, go ahead and download it.

"Didn't work for me..."

Cons
Certain windows didn't open so mouse clicks weren't where they were supposed to be. Just failed.
I want this sort of software to help me with software unit testing. If it takes 10 times longer to get the tool to work, then it's just not worth it - I don't have the time.

some good features, easy "monkey-can-do-it" interface
Cons
Totally unreliable. rarely runs the same task correctly twice in a row. Program crashes often for no reason. Upon installation of other software AA breaks completely with no way to fix including reinstall. Many features do not work as advertised. Variable system clunky and lacking many needed variables

We used Automation Anywhere to transfer 70,000+ records to our new system quickly and easily. Within 8 hours we had a prototype script and within 2 days the task was optimized for speed.
Support team was very responsive and helpful, time and again. Great product, great support, great company!

This program does what it says. It has many commands/actions and its recording works very well.
There are just so many things you can do with it. It's less advertised web recorder tool records actual actions in IE (like when you click a radio button, it knows radio button and not just mouse coordinates.)
Cons
Editor needs more features like find/replace.
