Defragging your hard drive is an important part of system maintenance; regular defragging can improve performance by making sure that all the parts of each file are stored together, which makes it faster to access them. Auslogics Disk Defrag is a simple way to take care of this task. With a straightforward interface and a few useful extras, Auslogics Disk Defrag is a great choice for users of all skill levels.
The program's interface is plain and intuitive, featuring the classic cluster map that displays fragmented, unfragmented, and empty space. Auslogics Disk Defrag took 14 seconds to run a scan of our hard drive and determine that it was 17 percent fragmented. We clicked the defrag button and waited 10 minutes for the program to do its thing. In the time it took us to go make a snack, Auslogics Disk Defrag had tidied up our hard drive. We double-checked its work by running the built-in Windows Disk Defragmenter, and it confirmed that our disk was now 0 percent fragmented.
The program is easy enough for just about anyone to use, but it also has a few advanced features, such as options to schedule automatic defrags and defrag individual folders, that will be attractive to more advanced users. There's a well-written PDF user manual available on Auslogic's Web site, but most people won't need it. Overall, we found Auslogics Disk Defrag to be a simple, powerful tool, and we recommend it.

Problem with Windows Vista, it freezes when it defragging, which never happens in previous update.

Summary
I use this product after CCleaner (with Wipe free space checked) and Temp File Cleaner have run on my clients computers.
Its a smart program to use to speed and optimize a cleaned up hard drive. I notice a difference on every computer I've used it on. Check it out! -

Pros
Very fast and versatile, much faster than Windows Defrag. Easy to use. The newer versions allow scheduling the program to run when you know the computer won't be in use. Then, if you want, it will shut down the computer after completing the defragmentation and, if desired, drive optimization.
Cons
There is a tab for checking computer health. If you try to correct the problems, it will take you to a pay program. There are other free programs that will do the same thing.
Summary
I've used this program as my primary defragger for years. Each new version is better than the last. It's quick, reliable and easy to use. I highly recommend it as an alternative to the Windows bundled program.
