CNET Editors' review
Join your hard drive fragments together into a tight bunch with this freeware. Auslogics Disk Defrag's interface couldn't be any cleaner or easier to use.
Choose a hard drive from an easy-to-read pull-down menu, and Disk Defrag instantly displays the drive's size, and used and free space. The program even displays a pie graph for visual learners. One click starts the defragmentation process. The program's defrag process screen displays another handy visual. A sector map makes it easy to see how much of the drive is fragmented, allocated, or free. As the program churns away, the defragged sectors are displayed in blue.
We found the program fast, even on older XP systems. A handy HTML report is prepared after each defrag session. A summary displays the total files and folders defragged, while the detail section lists the defrag outcome for each file. We only wish a final sector map was included in the report. Novices to system administrators will love this easy-to-use hard drive defrag program.

"Best Degfrag Software"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 3.4.3.5
Pros
It works better than Windows Defrag by adding optimization, compacting files is better, and many other things. I have used Smart Defrag and this outperforms it as well. I haven't seen any other alternatives, so this appears to be the best.
Cons
Its updating mechanism is not great, and it has cheap ways to make you download other software made by them, but it is worth that by 100 fold.
Summary
You are looking at a much better defrag software than you are using currently - even though it has its drawbacks.

"Fast, effective defrag to speed up drive access"
Version: Auslogics Disk Defrag 3.4.3.5
Pros
Easy to install. Easy to drive. Good feedback on progress. Especially noticeable speedup of drive access on a small drive XP laptop that had been struggling. MS own defrag and 2 other products did not have any noticeable affect, so was a pleasant surprise.
Cons
None, but unable to provide feedback on Windows 7 speedup, only on speed of operation.
